Although we had not taken these shots ourselves we found that by checking the location out on the internet helped us get a better understanding of the area and the capabilities to which we could shoot, these are just a few recce shots.

For our shoot we tried to make what we filmed as experimental as we could, to achieve this we shot certain things in and out of focus, drawing the audiences attention on to certain aspects of the location. Here are some images that inspired us to do this.

Killian Martin: a skate regeneration

This is part of three short films featuring freestyle skate boarder Killian Martin directed by Brett Novak. I love theses shorts, this feature in particular as I feel Novak's take on skate videos is unique and individual to his style of film making. His mix of slow motion shots and the lighting and composition of each frame make the video truly beautiful and i find them quite breathtaking to watch. I also feel that the choice of locations used in this video suggest skateboarding to be an art form
